Job Description

Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day transactional accounting and assist with special projects. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and payment runs

  • Handle accounts receivable tasks such as billing, cash application, and collections follow-up

  • Review and verify invoices, reimbursements, and supporting documentation for accuracy

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and various sub-ledgers

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial files and records

  • Respond to vendor and internal inquiries professionally and promptly

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports, spreadsheets, and analyses as needed

  • Support department leadership with special projects, such as process improvements, data clean-up, system updates, or documentation enhancements

  • Assist with onboarding new vendors and maintaining vendor records

  • Provide general administrative and accounting support as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, etc.)

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
